3rd Conference on Entrepreneurial Financial Management

Call for Papers

We invite you to submit high-quality research papers for the Entrepreneurial Financial Management conference which will take place on August 17-18 at ESMT Berlin

The Entrepreneurial Financial Management conference represents a unique transatlantic academic forum, which focuses on the interaction of entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, and economics. We invite authors to submit high-quality empirical and theoretical research papers in all related areas; submissions by early-stage researchers are encouraged.

The focus of the next conference is “Public policy for entrepreneurship”.

Key topics include

  • Creating and fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems, including venture capital and other funding mechanisms
  • Supporting high growth technology entrepreneurship
  • Regulation of entrepreneurship, including financial reporting requirements
  • Regulation of (venture) capital markets

Submission Deadline: March 22, 2020

Authors will be notified about acceptance by mid-April. Presenters of accepted papers should be prepared to act as discussants during the conference.

The conference is also open for participation by non-presenters, but capacity in terms of number of participants is limited, and requests for participation by non-presenters will be met on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no participation or submission fee.

Program and hotel accommodation

The conference program will run from the morning on Monday, August 17, until the afternoon of Tuesday, August 18. There will be a conference dinner on Monday evening. We will provide accommodation for two nights for presenting authors and discussants.

We are also pleased to announce the availability of travel grants to help selected authors attend the conference. Please state your interest in applying for travel grants when submitting your paper.
