There are currently the following openings for faculty positions

  • Faculty Position in Organizational Behavior/Organization Theory

    ESMT Berlin invites applications for a faculty position at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of Organizational Behavior with a start date in Fall 2023. Candidates from the areas of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Negotiation or Sociology will be considered. Faculty members in these areas at ESMT include Matthew Bothner, Gianluca Carnabuci, Linus Dahlander, Konstantin Korotov, Tatiana Lluent, Eric Quintane and Martin Schweinsberg.

    A doctoral degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field is required prior to joining, but those with “all but dissertation” status will be considered at the application/interviewing stages. Candidates should demonstrate a potential for research excellence, including publications in top tier academic journals, as well as a potential for teaching excellence. The position offers teaching opportunities in Master’s in Management, MBA, PhD, and executive education programs.

  • Faculty Position in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, or Strategy

ESMT colleagues in these areas include Matthew Bothner, Gianluca Carnabuci, Linus Dahlander, Chengwei Liu, Tatiana Lluent, Angeliki Papachroni, Henry Sauermann, Jamie Song, and Stefan Wagner.

    A doctoral degree in Management, Economics, Sociology or a related field is required prior to joining, but candidates with “all but dissertation” status will be considered at the application/interviewing stages. Applicants should demonstrate the potential for research excellence, including publications in top tier academic journals, as well as the potential for teaching excellence. The position offers teaching opportunities in Master’s in Management, MBA, PhD, and executive education programs.

    We will conduct a limited number of informal individual meetings at the 2022 AoM Annual Meeting in Seattle. To be considered for these informal meetings please send a specific meeting request to faculty.recruitment@esmt.org by July 25. This request should also include a cover letter, a detailed CV, and your job market paper. An informal meeting at AoM is not a prerequisite for a full application, and we encourage candidates to submit a full application even if we are not able to meet in person at AoM.

  • Joachim Faber Chair in Business and Technology

    Joachim Faber Chair in Business and Technology

    ESMT Berlin has an opening at the rank of tenured Associate Professor or Full Professor at the interface of business and technology. Ideally, candidates should have substantial expertise in deep technology development and innovation, with an application or commercialization of such technologies to solve challenges faced by business and society. Examples of deep tech fields of interest may include (but are not restricted to) artificial intelligence, blockchain, quantum computing, biotechnology, among others. Candidates with backgrounds in STEM-related fields combined with an established record of research in a business discipline are particularly encouraged to apply. Requirements include outstanding research accomplishments, commitment to excellence in teaching in both degree programs and executive education, and international experience
