Ekaterina Gorbunova

Ekaterina is a fast-track PhD student within the doctoral program 'Berlin School of Economics'. She received her excellent Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics (theses: 'Ex-ante sorting in rank-order tournaments' and 'Economics of power to gas') at the Humboldt University Berlin (HU).

Throughout her studies and from an early semester on Ekaterina was teaching mathematics (B.Sc.) at the School of Business and Economics at the HU (chair of Operations Research). During her Bachelor degree she undertook an internship at the 'Firms and Markets' department of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW).

She is currently teaching advanced microeconomics (M.Sc.) at the Free University of Berlin (FU) as well as economics for digital business (PTMBA) at ESMT Berlin.

Ekaterina's fields of academic interest are Operations Research and Game Theory. Her current research areas are Information Economics and Decision-Making in Public Health.
